Another Myself offers the possibility of observing myself from the outside, witnessing my friendship with the pause of time on photographic paper,” writes the artist. The series unfolds in both individual and collective actions, hence the dual title. Another Us aims to evoke the same sensations as the initial self-portraits, fostering dialogues and sensitive connections among the group of participants. Before pausing on paper, the conversations that precede the printing process create an interweaving of perceptions—of the self, understood as a multiple entity, and of the collective, perceived as a unified body. The proposition encourages embracing the other, making space for the movement of bodies and the presence of objects to create a shared ground for subjective experiences. The Sun and time interact with cyanotype, maintaining their sovereignty over the final result, while moments of pause in daily life—akin to sessions of deep introspection—establish relationships and encounters with the different identities that make up the subject participating in the action. Likewise, the performative dimension of the series characterizes the images, as if, in the end, the experience evoked an introspective game—navigating the coexistence of opposing yet complementary forces, such as intention and chance.
