Planta Carnívora [Carnivorous Plant] is an organism sensitive to presence and gesture, a collective body that maintains itself in constant negotiation and movement. The action is performed with bamboo sticks that carry small steel spheres inside. It is a rooted dance, in which each gesture promotes resonant sound vibrations, allowing the living organism to be sustained by the disposition of the bodies that integrate the action. Without a fixed hierarchy, the movement emerges from mutual listening, in a dynamic balance between intention and response. Just as in a carnivorous plant, the rooted bodies, with their limbs extended by the sticks, generate attraction and capture, surrender and resistance. But, in Planta Carnívora, the bodies confuse predator and prey, because what governs the action is not an external command, but the self-regulation of the duo that dances rooted while seeming to have wings that allow them to fly. The gesture oscillates between control and abandonment, seduction and risk, in an improvised choreography in which continuity is only possible through shared attention, sound and the imminence of letting go.
