Campo Sagrado is a site-specific work that was already assembled in the context of the exhibition that the artist held at the National Museum of Fine Arts, in Rio de Janeiro, and at Red Threat Studio, in Miami. The multimedia installation involved an immersive process within the museum, where the artist remained present throughout the institution’s operating hours and the duration of the project. Welcomed into a spiraling path, visitors entered the spatialization of a drawing made in the artist’s office during a family therapy session. On the floor, quilts were arranged in a circular shape, inviting the silencing of impulses and a connection with the sacred inherent in life. The installation functioned as a rite of passage, in which body and space merged, generating experiences that transcended the present moment. The installation also featured a spiral of translucent fabrics that enveloped visitors in its subtle transparency, while yellow, orange, and red lights traversed the layers, harmonizing with a sound installation that invited meditation. By proposing a dilation of time, the artist suggests slowing down as an act of surrender, considering the inner journey that fosters self-encounters through attentive listening to one’s internal rhythm and the heightened perception that unfolds within the installation space.
